In an opening scene of a childrens film there is usually non-diagetic sound being played in the background for the audience. this music will sometimes indicate what genre the film will be. Toy Story is an animation, fantasy, adventure. on occasions, there are voiceovers to describe what is happening and the narration can often set the scene. music is also crucial in the opening scene as it shows what kind of genre it will be. in an action film, like toy story, the music is high tempo and you know what your going to get in the film.
 the bright colour and cartoon characters attracts children to the film. it also makes it the film more interesting and exciting to watch if the opening scene is of good quality.
